The Forge is one of our most ground-breaking buildings. Inspired by its industrial past and built for the future, it’s our first net zero carbon workplace.

The Forge features two boutique office buildings – Bronze, a Grade A workplace, and Phosphor which offers flexible workspace with Myo. Both buildings surround a public courtyard.

The Forge is located in the heart of Bankside, close to cultural hotspots including The Globe, Tate Modern and Borough Market, as well as three key transport hubs: Waterloo, London Bridge and Blackfriars.

Our first net zero workplace

Being our first net zero carbon building and operated in line with the UK Green Building Council’s framework definition of a net zero carbon building, The Forge has a number of features that take it to the top of its class.

The building is all-electric, powered by 100% renewable electricity – which is generated from 107 PV panels on its roof. The roof itself is a massive 298m2 of green roof, resulting in significant biodiversity net gain for the area.

From the outset, The Forge was created using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA). Using DfMA means that elements of a building are created in a manufacturing environment offsite, and to more standard designs and specifications. It also means constructing a building more quickly, efficiently and sustainability. Recycled materials used further minimise embodied carbon.
